I had some short stories, poems and photographs to share ... and so here I am

The Lions Of Lyon (25)

Just when you thought it was safe! Another one of my lions has turned up! This one is magic though: he's responsible for the raining letters you can see, which is a cure for all of those people suffering from post-Christmas writer's block! Just relax and let the letters soak over you.

Don't forget you can click on the photos to enlarge them!

I've enjoyed the lion pictures. The 2nd one in this post is especially cool. Thanks for posting it!

Omigod! A lion!

Very cool lion, though.

Zorak/Grasshopper,
Do scroll back and take a look at the previous lions. And you do realise these two shots here are of the same lion?:) There are probably about five more to come and then we'll be judging them!

And Moon,
You have seen all of them, haven't you? Do you have your favourites noted?

This one is definitely a he and a very natty he too!

Oh and I noticed that you are reading The Time Traveller's Wife. I put off reading it for ages because I thought I would hate it, but when I picked it up I couldn't put it down. I will say no more otherwise I will give stuff away, but I look forward to discussing it with you when you've finished.

Yes, me too. I was interested to hear the comments about the TT's Wife, Shameless. Like V, I will be interested to hear your thoughts.

The lion looks like Dougal (Magic Roundabout) on smack!

Clever clogs. How did you do that think with the letters?

Love the raining letters & also the lion's nail varnish!

Verilion,
There seems to be such mixed feelings about TTT'sW ... see previous comments from Jessica and NMJ. I must admit that I'm taking longer than usual to read this one because there are long sections in the middle that are holding things up for me. I also don't have lots of reading time at the moment, but I'm getting there. I'll post a review when it's finished.

Minx,
Yes! Dougal! I knew that this lion reminded me of something, and you cracked it for me! How sweet that now makes him.

That's So Pants,
Aren't the letters lovely! I have a friend who sends me HTML codes for websites. I must admit they make me nervous because they can send your blog bonkers. I almost did that with this code! Whew.

and Susan,
I hope you have meditated on the letters ... there's a kind of voodoo magic in there that is supposed to give you a writing boost! And I hadn't noticed the varnish on the lion's claws! Does this mean this one is in drag? :) I've enjoyed reading your latest entries on your blog. Are you moving for sure?

Shameless,

I think this one may actually be my favorite. This is a lion I could spend some time with. Maybe you could tag all of your lion posts so one could view them all on one page? That'd be ginchy.

I don't think nail polish alone constitutes drag. I've painted my nails (in my rock 'n' roll days) and never felt like it was in the same area as wearing a dress or anything. Maybe that's just me, though.

Hi Shameless,
I lived for 5 years in Australia and except for 2006, the last 3 were in London. I came back to Malaysia for just awhile.
Several of my possessions are still in my friend's flat in London & I feel most at home in the UK. Just going with the flow! :-)

btw, glad you still like my blog. was worried, you weren't coming back. :-)

Verilion, I loved the Time Traveller's Wife. Such a haunting, ethereal book. Have met the author in London.

Hi once more Shameless,
Wanted to say congratulations for your honourable mention in Jason Evan's writing competition! :-)

Moon,
I think the nail polish AND the wig give it away! But maybe it's just a Saturday night thing. :)

Susan,
Thanks again for your comment re my story. These things are great fun, epecially when the word limit makes it possible to actually get it done.
I also look forward to reading more about your adventures! :)

Wow! Cool lion - and thanks for the magic letters, now let's hope they help!

Atyllah,
Every little bit helps! I just hope you don't all start writing in red and pink!

Moon,
The lions will eventually go up on one page, especially when it comes time to voting for the top three lions! This is coming once they've all been posted.

Oh, I like these very much. There's something almost heraldic about the colours - no I've got it now... Harlequin, that's it.

Eactly, Cailleach! Someone said that at work today!
