I had some short stories, poems and photographs to share ... and so here I am

A Message From Mars

And now for something a little bit different. Have you all seen that amazing NASA photo in the press? The one from the Mars rover, which has been scouting around the surface of the red planet since 2003? I just couldn't resist doing something with this. It brings out the fantasy writer in me! LOL - very good, Shameless!

And now for more intergalactic communication... You've been tagged for a meme over at my place by an alien chicken of your acquaintance...

This is great, Seamus! I'm now trying to figure out how to get sprayed coffee off the keyboard!

How fantastic!! Not only that you can actually do that in a technical sense but you did it so well! Very, very funny:-)

Absolute Vanilla - Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. And I'm telesporting myself over to your site now for news of the meme! :-)

Roberta - I'm glad I was able to make you laugh, but sorry about the coffee on the keyboard. lol That happens to me all the time. I also sprayed tea over the cat once when something tickled me on the net. She stays further away now! lol
:-)

Lane - Thanks! But I am definitely not technical! :-) I had to get those photos off the NASA site and then blow them up, which was no easy feat. Also, the voice is not mine by the way - for those who think I sound like a droning drunk! :-) This was a computer- generated voice, Miscrosoft Sam - text to speech software. Perfect for an alien! I obviously have too much free time! LOL. OK, now I'm off to do the dishes and wash some clothes!

That was an absolutely fantastic composition, and so realistic from what one could imagine the real thing to be ~ Wow!

I think you may need an agent, you could be getting a call from Nasa, with more work for you my friend?
What a wonderful cold wars tool! hahaha

I will be back for another listen for sure.. :)

Seamus - love the computer generated dubbing. Did you see the Rory Bremner skit on the original Mars Rover crash..? probably somewhere on YouTube as well.

So that's where I left the corkscrew for the wine on my picnic a few weeks back!

That was absolutely hilarious, even better than wars of the worlds.

Eric - Thanks. NASA has now asked me to provide the voice for the alien when they discover it in 2009! They are still working on the studio and the actual shape of the martian! lol

Julie - Oh, I must check that out. I haven't seen that. YouTube is such a delight for tracking down old footage.

Billy - So that's why the naked woman was rushing down the hill - she spotted your corkscrew! lol

Marja - Thanks. We do try to have fun! lol :-)

The search for intelligent life on Mars continues. Didn't see RB, but did find this refreshing little video....

The martian's got a point...the rover looks a bit crap doesn't it? Could've had a few spoilers on it or some stripes? Fluffy dice?

So frustrating! Something is wrong with my computer making all video/audio things stop and start...

Run, little Rover, run!

Too funny, Seamus. I loved the automated voice, mixed in with those ghostly images. It made me laugh, and yet...

made me glad I'm not Rover, too. ;)

S. Kearney said...

Julie - I'm on to those links. Thank you.:-)

Jon - Fluffy dice! Yes! That's exactly what it needs. lol

Kat - I couldn't live without my video capabilities! -:)

Sarah - LOL. Yes, we have to have some little sympathy for that little thing, all alone up there doing our dirty work. :-)

Seamus, I came by to ask if you were feeling meme-ish ... and discover Vanilla (er, actually Atyllah) has already meme'd you! Nevertheless, do I have a meme for you! Since I'm the one who tapped Atyllah, and since I'm the one who is tapping you now, I think you should at least give my meme a chance. "Loves meme, loves meme not" can be found here:

S. Kearney said...

Bonnie - Yes, I've been a bit meme-shy! lol. Slap on the hand. I've got about five banked up, but I really hope to get round to them. :-) Thanks for thinking of me.
