I had some short stories, poems and photographs to share ... and so here I am

Licking The Shamrock !

I'm in Ireland, visiting Dublin and Galway for a week. The sky is blue, the people are friendly, the air is filled with inspiration. I'll leave you with my short story below, for those who haven't had the chance to read it yet. Meanwhile, I'm licking the shamrock!

Shameless! Put that shamrock down! You don't know where it's been!

I am deeply envious - though not of the shamrock! Ew, all that spit...
The Chicken spent a couple of years undercover in Dublin's fair city.
So enjoy the craic and have a jar - slainte!

I see it's a secret club, those who know and those who don't... and not even Google helped!

I'm clueless as to meaning as well, but happy (I guess) that you are . . . um, uh, licking the shamrock.

Have a good fiddle about in the pubs, Shameless. Lots of merry jigs to be had. :-)

Yeah Seamus, I asked an Irish friend and she had no idea, so what are you going on about? Come back and tell us.

Licking the Shamrock is the more common form of kissing the Blarney Stone. He made it up just so that we would have something to think about while he was gone.

Ok Blarney stone is something I've heard about, kissing it too, but in my befuddled just waking up with a bit of a hangover brain would you care to elucidate dear Minx? And Ooh blooming hell where all these big words coming from then?

Are you going to venture up North?

Kissing a stone I can handle - but licking a shamrock ...

Hmm - hope he had his jabs before he went ...

My goodness, what did I start here before going away on holiday?! If I'd known I was going to cause this "scratching of heads" I would've laid it on thicker! :)
Yes, licking the shamrock is my own expression, having become tired of saying kissing the blarney. Let's just say that lots of shamrocks have been licked over the past week! :)
Thanks to all and one for your comments while I was away, for keeping this place warm! :)
