I had some short stories, poems and photographs to share ... and so here I am

The Balls!

Dave Hill liked the blue ones, but politely turned down my offer for the red and white ones (See comments on this post). Others, however, have been screaming out for them, so here they are! The Balls! Why not post them on your blog or website, just as Dave did, as a way of marking the end of the year in blogland? (To maintain the quality, save the pics to your computer once you've clicked on them to make them bigger). Post the balls and spread the word! Let's make this a huge blogland project for Christmas and the New Year! For your caption - I snapped these at Lyon's Festival of Lights, Dec 9, 2006.

Hi nmj,

It's true the blue ones convey something deep!
The fireworks are an html animation, which someone sent me. It's a code you place into your template. Good for xmas!

Is no one going to take up my challenge and paste these balls on their site? Where is the festive spirit? Where is the sense of celebration? Does no one - except a few of my friends - think these balls are worth bouncing around the globe? I am disappointed. Seriously disappointed.

Forget the leg, and the hands, thank you Shameless for showing us your balls.

...grin...

So you'll be happy to know that your balls and a certain John Berryman poem have made it onto my blog.

Whoa. Those suckers really are big.

Yes!

I knew I could rely on Jessica! She is the first to take up the challenge. She has posted the red balls AND a poem about balls! That is the spirit I am looking for! Well done Jessica. I am proud of you.

And the rest of you! Where is your bloody Xmas cheer? Minx? Skint? This is right up your streets, so to speak. For goodness sake. Where are you?!

And the rest of you? Verilion, Frank, Maxine, Maht, Matt, Cailleach, Marie, Debi, Julia?

I expect to see those balls moving when I wake up in the morning!

I feel honored you could count on me. You are getting to know me well.

Jessica, I don't know what's going on with everyone, but they're just not playing ball!

Deletion of the last post wasn't censorship, in case you're wondering. I sent the same message twice by mistake. :)

Yep, I'd go with the blue ones too, there's a luminosity in the blue that seems magical and other-worldly.

man, you've got some balls!!! Erm, pictures of balls, that is. Blue looks great, but the purity of the white is pretty special too. Great balls!

Well, I'm just glad that these balls were able to bring a little bit of joy into at least a few homes. You are such a difficult mob to bully!
