The Razzle-Dazzle of New York!
I've finally got my best images of NY sorted out! I've put them together with one of my original piano compositions, an improvisation on a standard jazz, bass riff.
Make sure your volume is turned up, click the play button (sometimes twice) and then sit back and enjoy!

I used to clog friends' inboxes with large photos! When people come round to visit it's also nice just to push play and sit back. Clicking clicking clicking is just downright painful!

Did you seen the Portugal photos a few posts back? These were my two major trips this year. I do worry that our photos are electronic now though; will they last for years and years, like old photographs did? Maybe I should print all of these off onto paper!

It's funny because I always thought "one day"! I finally went to NY at the age of 38 (to actually celebrate my birthday), which I feel was way overdue. I'm glad I went and look forward to going back and really discovering all the nooks and crannies.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I hope Gwion sticks with the piano. The main thing is to enjoy it and play what he enjoys playing.
I'm lucky to have had teachers who let me play my own pieces all the time, instead of sticking to the "regime". It's funny with this video because a jazzy effect isn't my normal style; that was just for New York. I usually like creating pieces more atmospheric and tonal.
